What’s your passion?

Becoming in tune with your body through self-love can unlock your passion and provide insights into your life’s purpose.

It took me 34 years to finally find my passion. I didn’t want to be one of the many who went to Uni after college, just to get a HECS dept and degree in a profession I was not passionate about. There were too many of my peers who I saw slug it out through 4-6 years of Uni and then decide that it was a field they weren’t happy with. What a waste of time and money let along energy.

I use to be frustrated with the world as I felt underutilised and unable to find a passion in which I felt connected and centred with. At times, I felt like I was in a holding pattern, waiting for some kind of sign or opportunity to pull me out. But this opportunity did not come until after I had my two children and my marriage had ended. I then saw the signs. They were small at first, however I began to listen to my intuition and learn to trust my instincts.

Self love and respect is HUGE. It provides strong foundations for the person you were meant to be. Through self love and respect, you are able to get control of YOUR life and become in tune with who you are including your likes and dislikes. You are able to explore the possibilities on offer rather than be confined to the one line of sight.

COVID-19 has been challenging for us all. However, now is a great time for you to start thinking about your passions. Are you happy in your current job or with life in general? Would you be happier doing something different? Do you feel like there is more to life? Ok, let’s work towards that. There are plenty of resources available and especially in the age of the internet, there really is no excuse not to be able to find the information you are after. And before you tell me that it is too hard, I heard recently that a 90yr old women got a degree - now what’s your excuse?

Begin by researching what you like. What makes you happy? You may like to think back to school and what subjects you use to enjoy. Remember to look outside the box. You are only limited by your own imagination (Aesop). If you are unsure, you may like to start networking. Talk to your friends and people you know or try the below options/links:
